Fireworks

Friday night we went to Pilot Grove to see the fireworks display put on at Katy Manor. We took the kids not knowing how they would like it. Isaac was scared to death, Molly loved it, and Abby liked everything except the loud noise. Sherry held Isaac most of the time so she got to be in most of the pictures. Isaac never cried he was just very nervous. Some of the picture appear that he is crying but I promise it wasn't as bad as it looks.

Isaac waiting for the fireworks to begin. Waiting very patiently.

That one was really scary!

He's really not crying as it appears.

Maybe if he just doesn't look.

I think there was a "WOW"!

Nope, he still doesn't like it.

Just a picture of some of the fireworks that we saw. My camera didn't do the best.

Oh, pretty!

This is Molly just enjoying herself. She loved the whole thing. Keep in mind this is the child that is scared when a motorcycle goes by because it is too loud!!! Kids are so funny.

Beach Fun!

The weekend after Memorial Day we went to lake for the weekend. It was a very good time. It was nice getting away and enjoying some peace!!! On Friday afternoon we took the kids to the puble beach. Abby did get in the water some but the babies just played in the sand. They had a really good time playing.

Isaac and Molly playing with their sand toys. Abby ran up for a quick picture.

Isaac and Molly enjoying some "sand" time.

Abby running into the lake. She had a really good time playing in the water.

The 3 enjoying the outdoors.

Its been awhile......

Hello there folks! Hope this finds everyone well. It has been forever since I have been able to post so I have a little catching up to do, I know. Although this post doesn't have any pictures I hope each of you take the time to read it. (The pictures will hopefully come within the next few days)

My newest addiction started about 2 months ago....blog surfing. I heard a story about "Hailey's Hope" on channel 8 news; she was not born yet but they knew that she had Trisomy 13. She would not make it, but her family was just wanting her to live long enough so they could have a chance to hold her on her special "birthday". They had a blog and I found it and kept up with their story. It was the most touching thing I ever read. Hailey was born and they were able to spend 42 precious minutes with her until she went to be with God. While keeping up with this family in Jefferson City I would read comments left by others and it just went from there. I have added a few people to my blog list to the right and I invite you to click on them and read their story. They are all stories of children that are very strong but yet in need of prayers. What is so interesting to me as that I don't know any of these people from Adam but I pray for them every evening along with all the other sick and suffering out there. It makes me realize that children are a true miracle. They are wonderful and amazing.

Also, in 2 days we get to celebrate the best day ever.......Independence Day. I have to say that the 4th is one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy being with family, Bar-B-Que, watermelon, and fireworks. Let's all remember our Independence. We wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July.

God Bless~Stephanie

Bees

Bees, that's right. I had a swarm of honey bees in my Cherry Tree back in May. (Sucks, I am like 2 months behind) Better later than never I guess. Dustin was down in the tractor plowing my garden and Isaac and I were riding along when Dustin noticed them. He called his Uncle Phillip and they came down and were going to try to move the bees to take them home. It was quit the amazing process. Phillip and his little boy Parker got their "suites" on and headed over the bees to assess the situation. These are the pictures that I was able to capture. The swarm of bees. It is amazing how may are in that swarm. The just covered multiple branches.
Phillip is the one holding the box and Parker is on a stool getting ready to shake the limbs. The bees will then fall down in the box. Their hope is they get the queen and they will make that their new home.

Phillip just standing back waiting to see what is going to happen.

This just shows the bees in the box. Look how may there is. Unfortunately when Phillip came to pickup the box (it has to stay for 24 hours) the bees were gone. They had left the box and moved somewhere else. We were all kind of bumbed out, Phillip said that is the first time that has ever happened to him.

The Final Project!!!!!!!!!.......smiles:-)

I have been very busy the past month. I haven't had time to blog at all. It has kind of saddend me. I am moved in and loving every minute of it. I have some pictures of the final project but there is still some work to do.....isn't that normal. Hopefully I will get some more this posted this week. I have lots of pictures to share as we have been having some fun. Isaac is growing so much. Some new things he is doing is pointing to eyes, ears, nose, mouth when you ask him to and then repeats it and points to your. He is starting to say some 2 words this such as love you and thank you. It is amazing how the small things are so thrilling. It is truly amazing! Well hope you all enjoy the pictures, I have lost the picture of the kitchen but you can use you imagination as to what it looks like.
The back porch. The one wall and ceiling are all new. I love it. The picture does it no justice. The angle or something makes it look really crowded but there is actually TONS of room out there.

The banister on the back porch. Eric built it from scratch......good bless him. The old one was green and nasty. We love the new one.

Isaac's room. It is a small room but just the right size for a little guy.

My room. Nothing else to say.......
The fabulous front room. This is now turned into my scrapbooking room. All my stuff is stacked next to the wall on the left but it is now all out and ready to use. Amazing enough Isaac has left it alone so far!!
The living room. Just a nice space. Plenty of room for all my things and room for Isaac to play.

Just another angle of the living room.

Easter Pictures

Last weekend I attempted to get some Easter Pictures of Isaac. With the help of Mom we managed to get a few good ones. He was just getting over his sicknesses so he really wasn't in the mood to take pictures. Here are a few of my favorites!

Lets see, I wonder what may be inside?

Notice his elbow leaning on the window sill. Thought it was too cute!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Play time

Just some more snap shots. My little cutie!!!

It's Official.....

I'm a soccer Mom. I made the purchase 2-3 weeks ago and LOVE it. It is the greatest purchase I have made. It is so nice and easy getting Isaac in and out and he loves to ride in it. He just sits in his seat and looks out the window!

Breathing Treatments

Isaac patiently taking his breathing treatment. He is doing much better now. I think the treatments really helped him a lot. He actually goes and finds his mask when it is time to do one!!
Abby and Molly were very interested in what was going on. Abby wanted to "help" and hold the mask. Isaac was starting to get a little mad b/c Molly kept wanting to sit on his lap!

So of course, Molly wanted to help also!!

Play time

These are some pictures of the kids. Just some snapshots!!

Pillow fight with Papa.

What, did I get caught?

Uh, is Abby reading to me?

What, did you say my name?

Updated House Pictures

Mom, Mary, and Abby working very hard on the cabinet doors. They had to strip them and it was quit the job. It took a lot of time and hard work to get down to original wood. But thanks to Mary, she kept Mom motivated and they did it. They look wonderful.

What the doors looked like when they were completely stripped. They are waiting to have the polyurethane applied to them.

Porch before.

In the process of tearing all the nasty green stuff out. Check out the wall in the bank, it was done on the diagonal. Very different.

Tearing it all out.

This is what was behind the original siding. It was still in very good shape so we left it there and covered it up with the "new" stuff!

And now the new stuff. Doesn't it look great. We were all very surprised how good it looked. It really makes the porch look bigger!!! Can't wait to see the final product.

Update on Little Isaac

I guess I better give a little update on how Isaac is doing. I had Isaac back to the Dr. on Tuesday. He had been extremely grouchy and wasn't sleeping at all. It was really starting to wear on me. I called the Dr. and they thought they should probably see him because he may have a secondary ear infection. So I was taking off that afternoon to come home to stay with him so we trucked on over to Columbia to the Dr. His ears were fine so they swabbed his nose to make sure that he had influenza. Sure enough he tested positive for influenza therefore no medicine because it is viral. Dr. told me that if he was still running a fever on Thursday to call and bring him in on Friday and they would do a chest X-Ray . He could here some rattle in his chest but not enough to show concern. I thought Isaac was getting better we didn't run a fever Wednesday night. He woke up Thursday morning running a 102.6 fever. I stayed home with him. I called the Dr. after lunch because Isaac was just wanting to lay around on me, not eat or drink, and was wheezing really bad when sitting on my lap. So I called the Dr.'s office and had to talk to the on call because my normal Dr is out of the office on Thursday. They thought they should probably go on and see him today and not wait until tomorrow since he was wheezing. So at 2:15 we head to Columbia, for the 3rd time.
After a chest X-Ray, a breathing treatment, and then blood draw they finally came up with the following diagnosis: Pneumonia. She said that she could hear it, and see it on the X-Ray but it still looked viral. So off to the blood draw station we went and after 3 pokes in the arm they finally got blood out. (It was horrible!!!) His white blood count came back normal so technically at this point it is still viral but at anytime it can go in to bacterial. She sent us home on breathing treatments and an antibiotic. So I think Isaac has had his share of this sickness. He tries to feel good and be happy but at times he just cries, because he doesn't know what he wants.
That is about all that I know. We are doing some major work to the porch on my house so I will post the pictures soon, along with ones of Isaac doing his breathing treatment
