Happy 1st Birthday, Isaac!

It is so hard to believe that my precious baby boy is 1. It is kind of sad to think about it but all it means is that he is growing and very healthy. He is a big guy weighing about 26 pounds and is 34 inches long. There is nothing small about him. He had a really good birthday party. I did a "train" theme and it turned out just darling. I made his invitations and also his birthday cake all myself. They both turned out cuter than I thought. I have a few pictures of him opening presents but I will post more later.

The outside of Isaac's 1st Birthday Party invitation. I had to cut each train and cloud of smoke out. It was kind of time consuming!

The inside of the invitations.

This is the cake that I made. It looks hard but it was very easy to do. It did take about an hour to get it all iced and decorated. It was a big hit at the party. Everyone was pretty impressed. Mom even said "Stephanie that looks cuter than the picture in the magazine!" I just responded..."Yes, I know!"

Needless to say, Isaac didn't care for his cake. He choked and gaged just on the icing. The icing wasn't even sweet, it was just whip cream. I thought he was going to throw everything up. But Mema came in and saved the day and fed him just the cake without the icing and he thought that was pretty good.

Isaac got lots of presents and did a wonderful job opening them. He got it figured out before he was done. He got new toys that he really enjoys playing with. I need to weed out his baby toys since he doesn't play with them anymore. I will post more pictures of opening presents later.

Since it is Christmas Eve it is a good time to with everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Christmas will defiantly be different this year since this will be the first without Grandma. We are all adjusting and will eventually adjust fine. We always went to Grandma's Christmas day for lunch and open gifts. We are actually staying at mom and dad's this year so we wont be rushed at all. We are then going to Aunt Donna's on Saturday to have our family Christmas. Until next time, Happy Blogging.

Mr. Mischievous

A few weeks ago Isaac decided he was going to be Mr. Mischievous. He was playing with one of Mema's crock jars.

He looks at Mommy and smiles because he knows I have the camera out!

Isaac getting ready to get himself into trouble!

The reaches down into the jar to get his toys out that he throws in there. We used to keep magazines in it until Isaac and Moll discovered there was something in there to get into.

I just caught Isaac being lazy. He wore himself out trying to get his toys out.

Me and my favorite Auntie on m y 1st Birthday!

Announcements

I made these back in October for Kelly and Tony for them to "announce" their new baby, Lucas. They turned out really cute. I made 75 of them. It was quit the job but well worth it.

Family Christmas

Believe it or not we were all able to get together to get our "annual" family picture. Does anyone know how hard it is to get 2 babies and a 4 year old to look at the camera and smile? This is especially hard when you put the camera on timer. I can't even begin to tell you how many pictures of have of Abby and the babies looking to the side or where ever else they may want to look. We did manage to get this picture though. We all thought it turned out pretty cute. This was when we thought everyone was feeling well. Isaac changed that theory early the next morning!

Another Favorite

Thanks to Aunt Kim for finding this outfit. It is another of Mommy's favorite. I can't imagine why. I love it. This was before his sickness and the night that he thought he was going to be Mr. Brave and try to walk. It was pretty funny and he got so excited that he just kept falling. He is still not walking but takes steps before falling down. It will come sooner or later.....just waiting!!

Sick Baby

What a joy. Something that I never want to experience again. Isaac was sick for a whole week.....that's right 7 days. He began on Sunday November 30th. He woke me up at 5:00 throwing up. It was so scary due because what woke me up was him choking. He threw up for about 2 hours solid. I always said I didn't know what I would do when my child threw up because I have always ran the other direction when someone was throwing up. I am absolutely no support. Well Mommy mode kicked in and I stuck it out with Isaac. I was with him the whole time and cleaned it up each time. He didn't throw up anymore Sunday or Sunday night. I was really hoping that it was the "short lived" version of the flu. Well he woke up Monday morning running a fever. I called the Dr. and they wanted to see him since he just started running the fever. Well to the Dr we went and to my surprise he had a double ear infection. So on a 10 day antibiotic. I stayed home with him on Tuesday throwing up and screaming because ears hurt. I felt so sorry for him because there was nothing I could do for him. He continued to throw up Wednesday and Thursday morning. Finally Friday he seemed better and actually played on the floor at Kim's. We went to see Santa at Blackwater Friday night and he seemed fine. He had been over 24 hours without throwing up. I was once again awakened Saturday morning at 6:00 to a throwing up kid....AGAIN. I about died. I felt like we were getting the flu all over again. He threw up for an hour and then just laid around on me and didn't want anything else but Mommy. Kim and I were supposed to go shopping in Kansas City so Mom said she would brave it and was more than happy to keep Isaac with her and take care of him so we could get our Christmas Shopping done. I called multiple times and every time it was the same thing. He is just laying on me and doesn't want to play or eat. He just wants to sleep. She pushed and pushed the fluid down him so keep him hydrated. When he woke up Sunday morning he seemed better but was still pretty clinging. He never did throw up anymore since Saturday morning. It is Thursday and he is finally back to his normal little self. He has lost so much weight but he is sure eating trying to catch back up. I think he has a bottom less pit! Abby and Molly both had to experience this also. Abby had it about 3 days and Molly abut 5 days. It was pretty unpleasant for awhile. Everyone is back up and going and so far none of us adults have caught it. I sure hope like hell I don't. Well enough about sick kids!!!!!!

Throwing a fit

This is precious Isaac ticked off at the world. I don't even remember why he was mad but I had to capture the moment. This doesn't happen very often, but when it does, watch out!!!
I think MeMa made him made. Wonder if Mema is going to give in.....probably so!!!
