The Love of Pictures

Last night I got my camera out and had a fun time taking pictures. Isaac cooperated very well. He just starts smiling as soon as he sees the camera. Isaac is getting so big. He is turning into a little monster that gets into EVERYTHING. There is nothing that is out of his reach. Since he has started climbing on things he thinks he is unstoppable. I have to watch him very closely because he tried to climb on things that he shouldn't be. I am afraid that he is going to really hurt himself. It is too early to have to make that emergency run to the hospital with a broken bone and anything like that! Hopefully I will never have to do that but I have had many people tell me Boys will be Boys.......oh my!!!!
Isaac sitting in his booster seat eating some cereal. He looks like a toddler sitting there.

What a look. The next few pictures are just some snap shots catching that perfect moment. Sometimes the best pictures are the ones when they are not looking straight at the camera.

Check out all that hair. After 3 haircuts I don't think it is going to get any thinner. I love his hair now but I am sure he will hate it when he gets older.

Isn't this precious. Ten perfect fingers and.......

.......Ten perfect toes!!

Molly and the Cookies

A few weeks ago we made chocolate chip cookies. All of our favorites. Molly is quit the sweet eater so of course she wanted some.

Molly looking in the oven wondering how she can get to the cookies.

Oh here, maybe I can try to climb in. Uh, Molly I don't think that will work very well!

Dang it, how far up there are those cookies. I know they are up there!

What, me? I'm not doing anything!

Molly finally was able to get her a cookie. Needless to say, she ate the whole darn thing.

Molly is doing very well. She is growing up so fast also. He is walking everywhere and is really starting to jabber. The funniest thing she says is baaaaaaad piggy. Whenever her pigs falls on the floor she says baaaaaaaad piggy. Too cute, what they catch on to.

What a Big Boy!

Remember the other day when I told you that Isaac had started climbing. Well I promised pictures so here we go.

Isaac has climbed up on the hassock and is getting ready to get on the couch.

Yeh, he has made it. He was so proud of himself when he would get up there. He knew he was doing something new. Now he doesn't understand why I always make him get down. I don't want him to get used to being able to play on the couch. That is just asking for that emergency room visit!

Here, Mema, I need your help down!

FUN!

I had the joy last weekend to do some card making. Kim, Mom, and I made some greeting cards and gift tags for a benefit auction. I put them arranged so cutely in a tin and we donated them for the auction. Well needless to say I was pretty proud of what they brought. They sold for $45.00 and there was 2 ladies that wanted them so now I have to make another bunch because I told them that since they both wanted them we would just make some more and they could just make the donation to the family.

I took a picture of the cards that I made. I just had to share with everyone. I just wish I had more time to make even more. They are just so darn cute!!!

Something New

I just have to share the new thing for Isaac. This evening I was in the kitchen talking to Mom and Isaac was playing in the living room with his toys. I heard him kind of cackle but didn't think anything of it. I looked around the corner to "check" on him and to my surprise he was playing on the couch. How in the heck did he get there. He was soooo proud of himself. He climbed up on the hassock then on to the couch. Then he wanted Mom's hand to help him down and he did it all over again. I got a few pictures but my camera is dead so I will get pictures posted later. I just had to share Isaac's newest adventure.

Isaac with his presents

I have been wanting to get pictures posted of Isaac with his things that he got for his Birthday and Christmas. I am just now getting that done. Better sooner than later, I guess.

Isaac sitting on his "Alphabet Train" that Mommy gave him. He got a lot of nice things. He has sure enjoyed getting to play with everything. He got a lot of books and has really enjoyed being read to. Isaac with his Christmas presents. He got the John Deere wagon from Mema and Papa, we can't wait until Spring time so we can go for walks outside. Right now the wagon is sitting in the living room being storage for everything that he got for presents that is not out being played with. We are just waiting patiently to get into our house so we can get everything unpacked. More pictures will be coming soon. Maybe even later this evening!

More Birthday Pictures

Isaac had a great time opening his presents. He has had a lot of fun playing with everything.

Isaac opening his presents. He had to have a little of Mommy's help but it didn't take long for him to discover that there were things under that paper for him.

Aunt Kim, Uncle Chad, Abby and Molly gave Isaac this darling wooden train. It is so cute. He is a little too little to play with it. When we get in our own house we will have it out on display for everyone to see.

Isaac sporting a bow on his head. It makes him look like a little girl.

Isaac and Mommy with his Birthday cake. He thought it was pretty funny when everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him. Once again that darling cake that I did all by myself! I have to brag a little bit!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Isaac and I would like to wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. It is so hard to believe that 2009 is here and 2008 is in "past"! Our family is really looking forward to a new year. Needless to say 2008 was not the greatest. It defiantly had it pros such as the time I got to enjoy with Isaac and watch him become the little toddler that he is. I got to enjoy being an aunt to Abby and Molly. After 13 months was finally able to get my divorce FINAL! I know there are many more but just not thinking of them right now. The cons, sickness and death of my Grandma. I am just going to leave that at that. No need to proceed on with the bad things. I have not had time to get my pictures uploaded of Isaac's Christmas morning. He had a lot of fun opening his presents. Santa came to see him and left him a new toy. We now have so many toys that there is not enough room in Mema and Papa's house for them.

We are hoping to get busy on my house so Isaac and I can get moved into our our home. Dad is laid off until February so he will getting the floors sanded. Upon the completion of the floors being sanded Mom will go in and start putting the treatments on the floor. The kitchen is coming together. I have decided to change the paint color in the kitchen so I have to get it repainted. Will wait to do that until the kitchen is put back together and the floors are done. I know I have promised before but I really want to get some pictures of my house posted. I am really looking forward to entertain and have people over to my own place!

Isaac is becoming quit the "investigator". He travels all over the house on his bottom still trying to find things to get into. He is now not staying away from the Christmas tree. He has gotten in trouble twice tonight. He is still not walking. Will stand and take a few steps but is not brave enough to take off yet. He plays Peek-A-Boo and the how big are you game. He also prays with us at the supper table. It is so cute he puts his little hands together and looks at everyone else to make sure they are doing the same thing. I help him do the sign of the cross and then he claps and says yeah.

Well Isaac is ready for bed so I better get him there. We wish each and everyone of you a healthy and prosperous New Year!

Happy 1st Birthday, Isaac!

It is so hard to believe that my precious baby boy is 1. It is kind of sad to think about it but all it means is that he is growing and very healthy. He is a big guy weighing about 26 pounds and is 34 inches long. There is nothing small about him. He had a really good birthday party. I did a "train" theme and it turned out just darling. I made his invitations and also his birthday cake all myself. They both turned out cuter than I thought. I have a few pictures of him opening presents but I will post more later.

The outside of Isaac's 1st Birthday Party invitation. I had to cut each train and cloud of smoke out. It was kind of time consuming!

The inside of the invitations.

This is the cake that I made. It looks hard but it was very easy to do. It did take about an hour to get it all iced and decorated. It was a big hit at the party. Everyone was pretty impressed. Mom even said "Stephanie that looks cuter than the picture in the magazine!" I just responded..."Yes, I know!"

Needless to say, Isaac didn't care for his cake. He choked and gaged just on the icing. The icing wasn't even sweet, it was just whip cream. I thought he was going to throw everything up. But Mema came in and saved the day and fed him just the cake without the icing and he thought that was pretty good.

Isaac got lots of presents and did a wonderful job opening them. He got it figured out before he was done. He got new toys that he really enjoys playing with. I need to weed out his baby toys since he doesn't play with them anymore. I will post more pictures of opening presents later.

Since it is Christmas Eve it is a good time to with everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Christmas will defiantly be different this year since this will be the first without Grandma. We are all adjusting and will eventually adjust fine. We always went to Grandma's Christmas day for lunch and open gifts. We are actually staying at mom and dad's this year so we wont be rushed at all. We are then going to Aunt Donna's on Saturday to have our family Christmas. Until next time, Happy Blogging.

Mr. Mischievous

A few weeks ago Isaac decided he was going to be Mr. Mischievous. He was playing with one of Mema's crock jars.

He looks at Mommy and smiles because he knows I have the camera out!

Isaac getting ready to get himself into trouble!

The reaches down into the jar to get his toys out that he throws in there. We used to keep magazines in it until Isaac and Moll discovered there was something in there to get into.

I just caught Isaac being lazy. He wore himself out trying to get his toys out.

Me and my favorite Auntie on m y 1st Birthday!

Announcements

I made these back in October for Kelly and Tony for them to "announce" their new baby, Lucas. They turned out really cute. I made 75 of them. It was quit the job but well worth it.

Family Christmas

Believe it or not we were all able to get together to get our "annual" family picture. Does anyone know how hard it is to get 2 babies and a 4 year old to look at the camera and smile? This is especially hard when you put the camera on timer. I can't even begin to tell you how many pictures of have of Abby and the babies looking to the side or where ever else they may want to look. We did manage to get this picture though. We all thought it turned out pretty cute. This was when we thought everyone was feeling well. Isaac changed that theory early the next morning!

Another Favorite

Thanks to Aunt Kim for finding this outfit. It is another of Mommy's favorite. I can't imagine why. I love it. This was before his sickness and the night that he thought he was going to be Mr. Brave and try to walk. It was pretty funny and he got so excited that he just kept falling. He is still not walking but takes steps before falling down. It will come sooner or later.....just waiting!!

Sick Baby

What a joy. Something that I never want to experience again. Isaac was sick for a whole week.....that's right 7 days. He began on Sunday November 30th. He woke me up at 5:00 throwing up. It was so scary due because what woke me up was him choking. He threw up for about 2 hours solid. I always said I didn't know what I would do when my child threw up because I have always ran the other direction when someone was throwing up. I am absolutely no support. Well Mommy mode kicked in and I stuck it out with Isaac. I was with him the whole time and cleaned it up each time. He didn't throw up anymore Sunday or Sunday night. I was really hoping that it was the "short lived" version of the flu. Well he woke up Monday morning running a fever. I called the Dr. and they wanted to see him since he just started running the fever. Well to the Dr we went and to my surprise he had a double ear infection. So on a 10 day antibiotic. I stayed home with him on Tuesday throwing up and screaming because ears hurt. I felt so sorry for him because there was nothing I could do for him. He continued to throw up Wednesday and Thursday morning. Finally Friday he seemed better and actually played on the floor at Kim's. We went to see Santa at Blackwater Friday night and he seemed fine. He had been over 24 hours without throwing up. I was once again awakened Saturday morning at 6:00 to a throwing up kid....AGAIN. I about died. I felt like we were getting the flu all over again. He threw up for an hour and then just laid around on me and didn't want anything else but Mommy. Kim and I were supposed to go shopping in Kansas City so Mom said she would brave it and was more than happy to keep Isaac with her and take care of him so we could get our Christmas Shopping done. I called multiple times and every time it was the same thing. He is just laying on me and doesn't want to play or eat. He just wants to sleep. She pushed and pushed the fluid down him so keep him hydrated. When he woke up Sunday morning he seemed better but was still pretty clinging. He never did throw up anymore since Saturday morning. It is Thursday and he is finally back to his normal little self. He has lost so much weight but he is sure eating trying to catch back up. I think he has a bottom less pit! Abby and Molly both had to experience this also. Abby had it about 3 days and Molly abut 5 days. It was pretty unpleasant for awhile. Everyone is back up and going and so far none of us adults have caught it. I sure hope like hell I don't. Well enough about sick kids!!!!!!

Throwing a fit

This is precious Isaac ticked off at the world. I don't even remember why he was mad but I had to capture the moment. This doesn't happen very often, but when it does, watch out!!!
I think MeMa made him made. Wonder if Mema is going to give in.....probably so!!!
